Packetrino CoreSwitch

Packetrino CoreSwitch is a software upgrade to the Packetrino CoreAccess system. It provides all of the features of CoreAccess plus advanced routing and topography hiding.

LCR

The CoreSwitch routing engine can perform multiple levels of LCR with over ten million entries. In addition to cost information, pricing information can be loaded in. This allows CoreSwitch to ensure a route is never taken that would result in a loss.

LCR decisions can be affected by different rules and real-time data, including ASRs and voice quality scores.

Demand Routing

Demand routing allows full maximization of network resources, and guarantees even more profit. Essentially, demand routing allows a route to be sold at multiple rates, but with different ASR and quality guarantees. Higher rates take priority over lower ones, and higher priority calls can disconnect lower priority calls. This allows a network to keep near 100% channel utilization, while ensuring the most money is made, every minute.

Topography Hiding

In conjunction with CoreMedia, CoreSwitch provides comprehensive topography hiding. CoreSwitch can eliminate information leakage via SIP and SDP to ensure that customers don't see a provider's vendors.

Availability

Packetrino CoreSwitch will ship as an upgrade to CoreAccess in Q4 CY2008.
